Trauma

trauma

Ocular trauma can be blunt (without incision) or penetrating (incision/laceration). Any injury, whether mild or severe, can result in eye problems later on in life, such as glaucoma and cataracts. Injuries can affect anything around the eye to inside the eye, such eyelid lacerations, tear duct lacerations, orbital fractures, cataracts, glaucoma, and floaters. At Southern California Eye Physicians & Surgeons, we deal with ocular injuries of all types and their sequelae.
