Chemical Peels

GLYCOLIC ACID - $75

A Glycolic peel, or alpha hydroxy acid peel, removes your top layer of skin, resulting in new collagen and elastin. Glycolic Wash is a milder way to exfoliate and to smooth the skin. Glycolic peels work best for fine lines and wrinkles, improving texture, hydrating dry skin and dissolving keratoses. Reports indicate that glycolic acid generally is considered non-toxic (minimal side effects, does not “thin” the skin or cause photosensitivity).

TCA (TRICLOROACETIC ACID) - $125

The TCA Facial Peel is a more aggressive peel than the Glycolic Acid Peel and produces more impressive results. The TCA peel is used when more aggressive repair of sun damaged skin is necessary.

TCA Peel, Trichloracetic Acid is a deeper, more aggressive chemical treatment to correct serious skin flaws. It tightens and firms facial skin, leaving you with a younger more attractive complexion. Reproduction of collagen is also increased immensely. New surface skin becomes clear and smooth.

JESSNER’s Peel - $150

Jessner's Peel removes superficial layers of skin. A Jessner peel consists of a mild peeling agent that lightens areas of hyperpigmentation and treats aged, sun-damaged skin.

The Jessner’s peel is excellent for all skin types. It is used to treat mild to severe acne, discoloration, moderate wrinkling, and sun damage. Peeling the face, neck, hands, and upper chest is also quite effective. It can help patients with acne, oily, or thicker skin, because it tends to decrease oil production and open clogged sebaceous follicles. It also contributes to the healing process of acne.

The Jessner’s peel combines resorcinol, lactic acid, and salicylic acid to result in deeper penetration and greater exfoliation of the outer layers of skin cells. This deeper exfoliation produces noticeable flaking and exfoliation in the following three to four days after the peel, and within a week a smoother, healthier layer of skin will be revealed
